Robin Rothstein

Robin is a Fractional COO and CFO with over 25 years of experience in the alternative asset management industry. She is a global business growth strategist, with broad expertise across investment management operations, finance, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Currently, Robin is the Founder and Managing Director of R2 Fractional Fund Services, a consulting firm that provides tailored CFO and COO services to venture capital and private equity managers. She delivers operational and financial strategies that enable firms to scale efficiently while navigating complex regulatory environments. Robin also advises early-stage companies and is an active investor in the venture ecosystem.

Prior to founding R2, Robin was a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Taconic Capital, a global multi- billion-dollar alternative investment manager. She led the firm’s twelve-year expansion from its inception to peak AUM of $12 billion across multiple fund strategies. Robin oversaw firm-wide operations, finance, risk management, and regulatory compliance, including registration with the SEC and various international regulators. She chaired the firm’s Counterparty Risk Committee, managed the $100M operating budget, and was a member of key leadership committees including the Business Continuity and Cyber Security Committees. Robin served as an executive director & audit committee member on the boards of the firm’s offshore hedge fund companies domiciled in the Cayman Islands and Luxembourg.

Earlier in her career, Robin served as Chief Financial Officer of Winslow Partners, where she launched a $30M private equity fund in the Czech Republic, and as Corporate Controller at Capital Multimedia, where she played a lead role in the company’s IPO and M&A transactions. Robin was an accounting major at the University of Maryland.
